The Surrey Sports Hall of Fame will celebrate the rich sports legacy of Surrey, recognizing the significant contributions of athletes, coaches, builders, and volunteers to the City's sports community. The Hall of Fame will share the stories, milestones, and accomplishments that have shaped Surrey’s active sports culture.

The Surrey Sports Hall of Fame will showcase a variety of artifacts, stories, achievements, and milestones of people and teams from Surrey’s sport community. It will also have interactive opportunities and a robust online presence. It will honour those who have had a lasting impact on Surrey's sports landscape.

The survey is a starting point for community engagement and aims to collect feedback and thoughts from the community regarding the Surrey Sports Hall of Fame, including how it can best reflect the diversity of sport culture in Surrey. There will also be additional community engagement opportunities in the coming months.

In the short term, temporary exhibitions will be installed at Museum of Surrey and select community facilities, accompanied by a vibrant online presence. In the long term, a permanent sports hall of fame is envisioned as part of a future spectator facility.

At this time the survey is meant to be a starting point to gather community feedback. However, if you wanted to note any athletes, coaches, teams or volunteers that made significant contributions to sport in Surrey, the project team would welcome that input and keep a record of those submissions. There will be future community engagements and opportunities for public nominations. More information and engagement opportunities will be shared in the coming months.
