How can we beautify and enhance Newton?

Newton is a community both with strong local connections, pride and rapid growth. The City of Surrey has launched the Focus Newton Task Force, an initiative to enhance, beautify and engage with the Newton community.

What we heard and next steps:

We listened to over 2,000 Newton residents through three community events, an online survey, and six outreach sessions over the summer. Using your feedback, we're creating the Focus Newton Action Plan, launching this spring. The action plan will serve as a guide to beautify and enhance community spaces, focusing on short- and medium-term objectives over the next 1-3 years. Positive changes are already underway in Newton with more improvements coming soon. Stay tuned for updates.

Share your vision for a vibrant Newton

Through Focus Newton, we will develop an action plan that encompasses short-term (1 year) and medium-term (3 year) beautification and enhancement objectives. This plan will serve as a roadmap for enhancing the Newton community.

We want to hear from you, the residents, local businesses, and community groups. Together, we can create a plan that meets the needs of a growing and diverse population. We are excited to hear your ideas for a more vibrant and enhanced Newton, whether it involves creating inviting public spaces, establishing family-friendly gathering spots, or integrating beautiful public art, or something else. Your input will play an important role in guiding enhancement efforts. The City of Surrey values your ideas and perspectives on Newton, by participating in this engagement process, you can contribute to shaping the future of life in your community.
