Introduce life education courses for school students

The city of Surrey's object-centric education forgets the real subject—self. Our education has taught us about various skills and technologies but has not taught us about the source from which everything else comes, which is ‘Self.’ The subject is the most important entity and can only be taught with the help of self-education and awareness courses (human psychology).

Nothing to review - Provincial Mandate for June 2024. How is it possible that we have nothing to consider at this point in the year? The “plan” is supposed to be in place by June and Surrey has provided ZERO information with less than 3 months to go. Will there be ANY opportunity for community input?

Coral reefs bleaching

- At Surrey's Crescent Beach Beach, coral reefs are bleaching. Surrey's runoff and pollution: storm-generated precipitation rapidly dilutes ocean water, and runoff can carry pollutants that can bleach near-shore corals. - Also, unregulated greenhouse gas emissions from the city of Surrey are the main cause of ocean acidification, and the increases in sea temperature cause coral bleaching. It occurs when coral that is under stress pushes out the algae that give them their color and serve as their food supply. The Surrey's coral may perish if the bleaching is severe and persistent.

"Humanity has only two years left “to save the world” by making dramatic changes in the way it spews heat-trapping emissions according to the head of the United Nations climate agency." I hope Surrey's city council will update their Climate Change Action Strategy and consider this warning promptly for the new OCP.
