Help Shape the New Plan for South Westminster

We’re creating a new plan for South Westminster. It will help guide a more resilient future for the area, with a goal to address climate change while creating jobs, housing, and improved access to transit. The plan aims to build on the areas proximity to the port, major roads and transit, while taking into consideration development challenges, such as the areas soil conditions, flooding and site contamination.

As we begin the plan process, we want to learn more about the plan area. Input from residents, landowners, and other stakeholders will help shape the vision and planning objectives. These objectives will guide the land use planning process.

    Hello Satish, thank you for your question! Renaming the plan area is something we are open to exploring as part of the planning process. As such, through future engagement opportunities, we will be seeking input from residents, landowners, and other stakeholders to help identify a more appropriate and meaningful name that reflects the area.
